Quality food, great portions. Staff are super friendly and they bring the food with a smile.

We order take out all the time. Food is incredible. Today decided to eat in . Bad decision. Service is sub level at that. Just order take out. Didn't get the food at the same time. So 5 minutes later ask where the rest of our order is and never received it.

First time in and was not disappointed. The staff was delightful and friendly. I measure most coffee shops by their Mexican Mocha. If they make a good Mexican Mocha, I’m there. This MM was delicious! Try the Hangover Killer. Came back with the fiancé for hot sandwiches! Absolutely delicious!

Let me say! their tortilla soup/coffe is amazing .. I got their pastrami sandwich, their known for their healthy side of food .. so I can see why the white bread tasted old.. soup 10/10 pastrami 6.5/10

After a long morn of shopping the display booths for this year's Gem Event @ the Del Mar Fairgrounds, we were hungry! So before heading straight home we decided to stop here & feed our famished selves. I wish I'd taken a photo of the sandwiches because they were gourmet & fantastic looking. My bf had their seared Ahi Ahi Club w/ side of tortilla soup while I enjoyed their sourdough Guacamole Club w/ fresh green salad! I've never eaten a sandwich so dang quickly YUM!! 👌🏼

I had the Thai Chicken Wrap. It was very good. It is filled with a liquid sauce that spilled out everywhere, so be aware that it is very messy to eat. Frankly I would prefer the sauce to be a little thicker and with a stronger peanut flavor, but it is definitely good as is.

Great food at a very good price. Hefty portions and healthy oriented. Good selection of coffees, which are self-serve. Friendly staff. Location is not great; clientele seem to enjoy their conversations rather than any view. Come early for a quiet experience.

Had a great blt, and club sandwich, service was ok, wasn't greeted when we walked in there was three people around the counter when we walked inside. It took about 5 minutes to be talked to. But other then that it was a pleasant visit

Everything was delicious ! I had the egg croissant’wich . My husband had the tortilla soup . Homemade salsa was the best!!! Everyone super nice and attentive . The menu is huge with breakfast and lunch.

Love, love, love El Cajon Bistro! It really is the best breakfast in town. Almost as if the North Park brunch scene found its way to east county, and I'm so happy it did. I always get a Benedict, the poached eggs are always perfect and the hollandaise is satisfying. The salsa that came with the breakfast potatoes was SO GOOD. I will be dreaming about it until I can have it again. My grandma and I always come here whenever I am in town. Highly recommend.

The price on the menu isn't the price they charge you. They raise the price by almost 5 to 10 dollars unless you pay cash. Like some kind of sketchy gas station. I felt very scammed out of my money. ON TOP of all of this my potatoes where EXTREMELY undercooked & raw. Could not even eat them for fear of getting sick. The salsa tastes like a horrible bland ketchup. Won't be coming back. Buyer beware.

Spectacular breakfast options! Great juice and smoothie options. We dined inside and bought pancakes to go. Staff had the courteous forethought to bring the takeout to us just as we finished so the meal would travel as warm as possible. The Popeye omelette was delicious!
